Mary said, lol...

Mary said I need to update, so here I am updating!

I have GOT to do better with checking in, but life is so overwhelming.

Let's see... since the last time I've checked in...

1. I've had an article appear in Women's Day Magazine. (Woot!)
2. I've been awarded temporary custody of my nephew - giving me a total of FOUR children to care for.
3. My mother's condition has got MUCH worse.
4. I went to court on my case with my ex-husband (for breaking into my house last year) and he is still behind bars (best place for him).
5. I have been struggling big time with my weight-loss (or lack thereof...:( ).
6. I am BROKE. Like $2 to my name broke. With four kids. And no paycheck until Oct. 1. Yeah...

My biggest struggle is being mindful of my choices during all the stress. I just eat whatever is around - and the weight is piling on. I am now uncomfortable in most of my clothes. I need an intervention ASAP.

I am trying a new diet plan I was offered. It's Dr. Tabor's Slim and Beautiful Diet. Basically, they sent me samples, and I liked them. I'm really a sucker for bars and shakes, and these are really good. The bars are actually HUGE and very chewy (which I like). So, Dr. Tabor has offered me the plan for two months. I am really going to give it 100%. I have to do something. Now.

I also need to get back to the gym... but MAKING the time is hard. I really need to follow MY OWN advice from the Women's Day article. I have to get back to scheduling the time in like a JOB. It can't be an option.

I feel so discouraged right now. I keep going BACKWARDS on this journey, and it's my OWN fault. When am I gonna "get it"?

fcc disclaimer... Dr. Tabor's diet plan was sent to me free of charge in exchange for my honest review... blah, blah, blah...

Oh Hollie... I'm sorry you have so much on your plate and being broke doesn't help! I can so relate. I LOVE your persistent and never-give-up attitude, tho! Best of luck on your new diet plan. I hope it works good. I am eating bars and shakes on my plan (Take Shape for Life using Medifast) and it has worked really well for me! Chin up, girl!! :)

Hang in there girl!! I too, have a lot on my plate right now, and I find myself coming back to blog land. It helps knowing there are people out there going thru tough times too! Take care of yourself!!

Just happened upon your site and wanted to send along a word of encouragement! With all you are dealing with, you shouldn't be beating yourself up! Focus on all the good things you are doing - taking care of a child who needs you, getting published in WD! Just take a few deep breaths and acknowledge how special you are, regardless of what the scale says at the moment.

Hey lady!
I hear you too.
We can do this.
What I'm trying is a post a day no matter what.
Not shooting for diet perfection.
Not even shooting for good posts.
At this point, maybe the best I can do is show up for support and support others.
Hopefully, I'll see you here tomorrow.

Hey Hollie,
Looks like you're doing great. If you're struggling to get motivated to go the gym, why not try group exercise. Pick something that's fun like Zumba. It's gotta be fun not a chore.
Let me know how you get on by leaving a comment on my blog at www.exerciseforweightloss.co.uk.
Keep up the good work.

YES! I HAVE SO MUCH POWER!

Sorry I don't get to read until the weekends, but thanks for updating. :)

I'm sorry about all the bad and stressful stuff going on. I totally understand how easy it is to get overwhelmed with family stuff and being broke.

hopefully the diet plan you are trying will help. And perhaps going to the gym isn't the best solution right now. Maybe just try working in some exercise into your day? Like do some squats or lunges every time you get a second alone.

Sorry you are struggling but I know you are strong and you can do it!

You already "got it" for sure. I know life can be frustrating and perseverance can be a challenge. Remember, it is what makes you stronger in the long run.

Lots of challenges on your plate. I fully encourage you in your new direction on this. Best wishes in your pursuit of continued weight loss.

Keep rallying. This time will pass, and you're burden will lift. You're doing awesome already.

Hey Hollie,
I just happened across your blog, and I think it's GREAT! The minute you start to get discouraged you should stop and think about the others who you have inspired just by putting this up there, and being honest. They want to see you succeed in creating a healthy lifestyle, so that they know it's possible. You never know the lives you are touching. Stay strong and positive girl!

Wow,
Ok Hollie you have been going through a lot. I pray for you that everything goes in your favor and things start to lighten up for you really. You actually going to the gym may be your best aid. There's so much going on in your life you need to vent someway. You say your starting to eat whatever is around so thats probably your way of venting. I know its getting pretty tough on you. Sometimes when we are going through tough times we tend to just eat to at least find pleasure in something you know? I eat out of boredom sometimes. Hollie you will be blessed for the things you've done I can tell you that much! I hope everything gets better for you.

Thinking about you. Sorry for your problems, but congratulations on the article. Wish I could help in some way other than moral, or, from me, immoral, support, but that's all I've got right now.

Wish you well.

I know how you feel! Keep working and you'll get it. I co-host a weekly weigh in and the girls all post up with their weights (if they're comfortable enough to do it). It helps me out a lot. It gives me something to work towards each week.

Hi Hollie -
we stumbled upon your blog randomly and we just wanted to encourage you. I think all of us trying to lose weight and become more healthy have days, weeks, months and sometimes even years when we feel the way you do right now. Don't give up! You can do it. You have a lot to balance, but you are important and you deserve to take good care of yourself! We are rooting for you :)

I've struggled my whole life with my weight. Just stay positive, and things will get better again! When I have bad days I just shrug it off, forgive myself, and get back on the horse!

It's hard to hit home runs when the next pitch is thrown before you're done swinging at the previous pitch.

Yes, you should be mindful of your habits, but it sounds like your priorities are in order - family first -- ex-family notwithstanding.

Hang in there. Breathe. No excuses, but no guilt. Mom fist. Daughter 2nd. The rest will follow when as it can.

Through it all, you are in control - if you let yourself be.

I just read your article in Woman's Day and was truly inspired by what you had to say. Like you I have tried all the different diets looking for a quick fix and still haven't found one. I have come to the realization that I can either except myself being fat or do something about it. So for the past few months I've been doing something about it. I have lost 8 pounds by taking sugary drinks out of my diet,as you I hate to exercise but I have to start if I want to see more results. Not to go on about me, I just wanted to give us ladies hope that we can do it with each others support and no matter what people say about our fat asses will still ROCK!!!...Please keep us posted so we can continue the great support for one another....Best Wisahes!!

Motivation is the biggest thing that people who are trying to lose weight struggle with. You need to re-find your motivation to go to the gym and lose weight. Once you do you won't have a problem.

Dear Hollie,

I stumbled across your blog and thought I'd share a website that I've used for achieving my goals.
It's called www.mysomeday.com. If you get a moment (and I use "moment" loosely given your busy life), take a look.

Keeping on doing what you do.
Good luck!
