Big Loser

Today is weigh-in day...

My official at-home weigh in has me down 4 lbs this week! I am totally pleased with that number. I worked hard for it.

At school, for the Biggest Loser competition... the scale finally moved. And I lost 10.25 lbs. Since last week?

I don't think so. I hate the scale at school. It's just not accurate. I mean, I have lost 10 lbs, but why hasn't it been showing up week after week? Why all at one time?

Today I had "planned" on having an "off" day. But funny thing is... I couldn't do it. I have (or will) journal journaled everything, and I even went to the gym for 50 minutes this evening. I just felt like I "needed" to. Yeah, I treated myself to some things I've been wanting (like an ice cream cone from McDonald's), but I will count each calorie. I need to stay accountable. I need to work out.

Maybe I'm finally back on track...

That is awesome!! Remember, it's okay to splurge sometimes, just don't do it too often! A cone from McD's isn't TOO terrible for you, plus, it's delish! :)

Damn, 4 lbs in a week is alot! Great job! Isn't it funny how you plan for a cheat day and then have been so on track that you don't even want to cheat? Love the determination!

Great job, Hollie! I've been reading over your posts for the past few weeks and I think you deserve a big congratulations for your effort! Sure the numbers on the scale are nice, but the important thing is you're improving your health and life. I hope you're proud of yourself.

Don't worry about the school scales. If they aren't right, they aren't right people will still SEE you are losing weight and THAT is what counts more than what the scale says. Keep it up!!

GREAT JOB! Just remember, the best thing you can do for your diet is to be balanced. Our bodies and hormones run off chemicals, and depriving it of too many things can make you a little nutso. It's good to treat yourself! I make it a "weekend" treat for myself. I eat really well during the week and treat myself on the weekend with little things. I just make sure I read the ingredients of whatever I'm consuming. Stick to things your body needs anyway with good nutrients. Don't hesitate to get yourself an ice cream cone, otherwise you'll overcompensate and end up getting a huge sundae instead (just a metaphor). Try healthy snacks like yummy Emerald Trail Mixes, yogurt or fat free ice creams like Turkey Hill (100 calories!), yogurt covered pretzels, carrots and peanut butter - you name it. But keep up your speed, the beginning is hard to maintain but once you do, that's when the weight comes off the MOST and that momentum will keep you going! :)
