Stranger things have happened...:)

Something really strange happened this weekend...

I went to they gym. Saturday AND Sunday.

Yeah, I know! I can't remember the last time I went to the gym on a weekend. But twice? Yep.

Friday was our 2nd weigh in for the Biggest Loser competition at our school. I lost zero again. But you know what? I wasn't even mad.

I mean, it had just been 4 days since our last weigh in (since we missed our weigh in the week before because of the snow day). AND that morning before weigh in I saw a 2 lb. loss on my scale at home (which I think is a more accurate weigh since I weigh at home under the same circumstances each time).

Although it sucked, I really didn't care what that scale said. I know that my body has to give eventually. I have been counting calories and journaling everything I eat. I only went over my set amount of calories once this week, and that was only by 100 calories (I felt really snacky on Friday). And this week, for the first time in several months, I went to they gym FIVE TIMES.

I am now working out for an hour each time. I do 30 minutes on the elliptical, and 30 minutes on the bike. When I first started, I could only do about 20 minutes on the elliptical and I walked the track for about 20 minutes.

And you know what else? I can FEEL changes. My clothes are definitely looser already. I am still quite depressed, but I can feel the cloud lifting a little. Some people have also told me they can tell I am losing.

Yes, I will keep going despite the scale. That thing hasn't defined me in a long time.

Way to go! having an elliptical here makes working out on the weekends so easy...but I don't go for an hour, though! Kudos to you!

That's great!! :) I went to the gym twice last week, ugh! I need to make it a habit - not something I dread doing!

Keep it up girl!

You can and you WILL do it! The scale plays tricks with us, I'm so glad you weren't upset by it. It seems like you had an awesome week that you should be extremely proud of!!
I'm battling a little depression myself, but that just makes me push even harder to get the results I want because I know when I accomplish it I was feel so good about myself.
You're doing a great job and inspire me with every post! :)

Its good that you don't let the scale define you. It took me a long time to get there. Actually it wasn't until I got a Bodybugg (Think Biggest Looser) and saw the facts. Now it doesn't matter what that scale says on Monday morning as long as I met my deficit everyday. Keep up the great work and your body WILL conform. Its a great feeling when other's notice, isn't it?!

You are probably building muscle. I hate it when the scale doesn't reflect how you feel. Like you said the scale shouldn't define us. Gym 5 times in one week. You go girl!!http://momgetsfit.blogspot.com/

That's awesome, Hollie! I bet you see big changes in your measurements if you keep working out like that!

That's great Hollie, never let that scale define you! It's so awesome that you are telling a difference in your clothes...that is when people really start to notice!!! If you keep going, your body is going to break through this plateau. Make sure you are eating back some of those calories you are burning..burning too much and eating too little can hurt your weight loss progress. But it sounds like you've got in under control. Oh and...kudos for going to the gym 5 times this week!!

don't even worry about it. Just keep working hard as much as you can and really push yourself and you see results!

I hardly comment on your blog but I follow and you're an inspiration to me.

Keep up the good work girl! You are doing great... and you're right, your body will give eventually. The important thing is how you feel and how your clothes fit. Maybe you should measure inches instead of pounds. Awesome job!

You go girl! Work it! Work it! I know that I feel better both physically and emotionally when I exercise. I kept wondering why I was feeling like crap until I started working out again and felt better after. Keep it up!

BTW, I love your new profile picture!

I have to look at how my clothes are fitting too. The scale can be brutal if we pay it too much attention. It plays mind games with us! LOL!! But Great job on all of your accomplishments!!!

I've tried a TON of different diets and NOTHING worked except for this - because it's NOT a diet and it's all natural stuff you're using. My email is mandihill23@hotmail.com. Hey there! I wish I could be more like you, a gain or a stay-the-same week has me reaching for the snacks. I lost 84lbs two years ago but put it all back on again. I have just started my journey again and you are an inspiration, I will be trying to channel some of your positive mental attitude! If anybody wants to encourage me, http//www.kebaborbaby.wordpress.com

Good stuff!
Remember that when you exercise, like you, there's more to weight loss and a better figure than pounds on the scale. Once you get in better shape, your build muscles, and those are heavy - way heavier than fat, for example. Your body can weigh the same, but look WAY different, so keep it up! :)

I’m a ballet dancer, and as you might know, ballet dancers has to be quite thin. I’ve shared 5 simple ways to lose weight that won’t scare either your mother or your doctor, on my blog on ballet, Tights and Tiaras. If you are interested, you can find it at http://tinyurl.com/6bsk62r.
