Wow... I needed to hear that today.
My bff and I took a short trip out of town on Monday and just got back yesterday. It was a girlfriends trip... just me and her. It was so nice to get away for just a few days... no kids, no responsibility. For that I am thankful.
But during that trip I ate so much that most nights I had to pop antacids just to sleep. We stayed at a casino that had a Paula Deen Buffet. Since it only $30 for 24 hours of eating, that's the only place we ate while we were there. #enoughsaid
Today I was back at work for an inservice, and opted for Subway instead of eating out at a restaurant. But I still have this full, bloated feeling that is so uncomfortable. Honestly, I am miserable.
I've literally had enough.
So tomorrow, it's back on the wagon. No more excuses. No more vacations. No more binges. No more laziness.
I go back to work Monday for two weeks of inservice before school starts on August 1. I am definitely going to take advantage of the routine.
I might even go back to the gym...
I had to whisper that statement because I know I need to but the thought is just scary right now. I know it's gonna be brutal. But the gym is across the street from my school. It's almost too convenient to pass up.
Sooo... it's back on WW. I am cutting out sodas, since my body rejects them now and they are almost painful to drink. I am also cutting out all sugar except for fruit and oatmeal. Yes... that is also necessary. I may as well detox now before school starts.
I have also made up my mind that I will not be eating school lunch at all next year. I
**sigh**... here I go again...

Really, I dare you -- just live like your life depends on it. Oh, wait, it does....
You have so much potential...
School lunches are hard to miss. I myself have just started a weight loss blog, so I can totally relate to you!
Thanks nice post! There are really people who eat big but they don't look fat. I think its because they have faster metabolism. I do hope I have that kind of metabolic process too.

The all or nothing approach is really difficult (impossible) to maintain long-term. I'm having a hard time reading your blog. I just want to encourage you to make small changes that you can build upon rather than cutting out entire food types. Sugar is good. Carbs are good. Fat is good. ...all in moderation.
Exercise is really important, too. However, start slow and gradually build up the intensity. Walk, dance, bike, swim, aerobics, then run ...it is really easy to burn out when you jump straight to running. I mean, you're already dreading going to the gym, take it easy on yourself.
Still, we all have our own way and you are looking for yours ...I'm not sure my words are helpful.
I lost weight really fast when I cut out the sugar too then the chocolate cravings got to me. So I started to just limit my sugar/sweets cause I know that I can't live without them. I'm glad your back on track and a Paula Dean buffet YUMMY! I use to watch her tv show everyday when I had the food network. I'm sure everything was fantastic. I never liked school lunches so that was never an issue for me hope you do well staying away. Have a great day!
I just stumbled upon your blog. Just wanted to say good luck and never give up!!
I agree with Kris- you are setting yourself up for failure- no sugar? No soda? You sound like you're miserable and struggling. Food is fuel- not a reward or punishment. Stop with the excuses- talk with a therapist and find out what's really missing from your life. Take care of your mind and your body.
I found this blog over here that shows natural methods of losing weight and staying healthy. Just wanted to share it with you.

Hi ,
Thanks for your helpful blog .I have a weight loss blog but i think your blog is better .
Hollie I have been reading for a while and can relate to your weight loss struggles! I have done and tried everything and still struggled so much. I just wanted to encourage you to look up a "program" called First Place 4 Health. They have groups all over the US and it is a kind of like a christian weight watchers. It really focuses on balance in life, physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. It has been so amazing for me, the wight is not melting off but I am in a very good place, slow and steady and most of all committing and having accountability to put Christ first. Just thought it might be a great fit in this season of life! Blessings on the journey!
Hollie,
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your time away. Sorry to read you feel bad about all the food you ate.
Back on Weight Watchers, going to the gym, cutting out soda, and cutting sugar are all positive things to do to get yourself feeling better about your weight loss.
Here is a quote for you from Doug Larson, "Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon."
Oh, Paula Dean. Do you wonder if the woman knows what she's doing to us with all her tempations?
Thanks for sharing, great stuff Ito have a weightloss blog
It is really awesome to see people who are renewed in their attitudes about weight loss. I am here to say I was tired of being Fat and being called Fat. I admit it is a constant struggle but very doable. I was the 325lb elephant in the room. I wish I could share my pictures here but I do have a blog dedicated to average people, who can do above average things. Thank you for this inspiring site. You can see me for yourself at

So true about a stressful situation being all that it takes to detour our good intentions. It applies to more that just healthy eating.
Keep working on you and eventually, things will get better
