Tired

Working out in the morning is just NOT WORKING for me. I've done it for 3 weeks now, and it's such a struggle. And I am so tired...

I wake up at 4:15, and it takes me about 30 minutes to GET UP. And I'm just not enjoying my workouts like I usually do. It's grueling.

Which makes me not want to do them. And that just won't do.

This morning as I was getting getting up at 4:30, I was thinking about how tired I've been lately. But then I know from past experience that I need more than 5 hours of sleep. Going to bed earlier isn't an option, either. I have 4 kids and all the prep work (getting clothes, lunches, homework ready) plus shower, etc. takes me until 10:00-10:30, sometimes 11pm.

So I've decided to go back to working out in the evenings again. I'll just have to MAKE time like I used to. But I really need that extra hour of sleep.

Same here. I tried to do morning workouts and it just did not work. I do workout two days in the afternoon, but the rest at night and on the weekend. We all have our way. I am a nightowl through and through - not an early bird. It will be fine as long as you fit it in.

Not everyone is a morning person, especially for exercise. I'm married to a night owl ... we didn't realize this until after our wedding! It makes things like vacations, hikes and working out together challenging. Just do what your body tells you to do so you can have more fun and energy. Good luck!

I iz not a morning person myself so I completely understand needing more sleep. I get up at 6:30 to get the kids up and that sucks! I cannot even imagine 5:15 EKKKK (great now I am gonna have nightmares!)

I can totally relate. I work full time, go to school part time, daughters in 1st grade and cheer. I have to squeeze mine in at work. I had to explain to my boss that I will be in gym clothes and sweaty. He understands. But then again I'm in an office all by myself. Gotta do what you gotta do, sometimes it's not ideal.

I've found evening workouts are so much more fun. I don't have kids, so I personally don't have the same things to juggle with in the morning.. But I feel afternoon/evening workouts are just more enjoyable. Plus, you can be more intense with them as well(hooray consciousness!!).

I'm not a morning person either, I workout on Saturdays when I get up (late am by the time I'm ready) and after work on weekdays (normally between 5-6pm). Great blog, I'm a new follower!

I COMPLETELY agree! Having 4 kids myself working out in the AM is just NOT the same as it is in the evening. You gotta do what is best for you and your kiddos schedules!
